2459 Colour Sergeant Frank Bourne DCM
Colour Sergeant (later Lieutenant Colonel) of the 2nd Battalion, 24th Regiment (later The South Wales Borderers). He was born in Balcombe, Sussex on 27th April, 1854 and died on VE Day, 8th May 1945, being the last survivor of Rork's Drift. His medals are on display at The Royal Regiment of Wales Museum.
